Bad Veins, "The Mess Remade" (Dynamite Music)
March 27, 2015
Typical indie group playing at a small venue — but with a big following
Even though I just said it is typical, the Bad Veins are really pretty good. I think they’ll soon have a big following because they have a cool sound, that is quite uplifting. It’s interesting also because they’re instruments are lighter with a happier tone while the vocals are more intense and rough — which makes for a different vibe. Also, for being from Ohio this band is pretty cool. All of the songs are pretty cohesive yet each has a unique sound — not like some albums that have songs that all sound the same. “Child” is a catchy tune, but really all the songs have this majestical… magical… ethereal vibe. So if you’re into that then take a listen. I say this band is going places.
