The Black Parade, Track-by-Track

My Chemical Romance’s 2006 album, The Black Parade, is one of my favorites of all time. And, while I haven’t listened to it in its entirety in a couple years, I’m still just as familiar with the songs as I was in 2007. And so this is me, as a 21-year-old, revisiting the album and reacting through the lens of an early-teenage-years emo kid who just got it (henceforth referred to as “you”).

A Coloring Book for the Soul

DISCLAIMER: This isn’t a review, it’s just a look into my brain as I first listened to Coloring Book.

After a very very long and hard time getting Apple music (I am a very stubborn person), I finally got my hands on Coloring Book. Chance the Rapper is something else, in the best way possible. I’m not even that religious but Chance got me ready to go to church with this one. Chance is the future of music. Notice how I said music, and not just rap or Hip Hop.

A View on "Views"

I’m not going to lie to you and say Views is Drake’s best album. At first, I wanted to do a track by track review but I ultimately decided against it. There're just many too many emotions I have connected to Drake, both musically and aesthetically (we will discuss this another time). So, I chose to go through the track list and talk about my favorites or just ones I have something to say about. This album is Take Care and If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, with some Nothing Was the Same, and a pinch of So Far Gone. What I’m trying to get at is that it sounds like Drake throughout different points of his career.
