TOMORROW, SATURDAY the 25th, DC rapper Goldlink will be coming to THE TAVERN for a FREE show for all AU students, co-sponsored by AU Student Union Board (SUB) and WVAU. Come before 8:30PM with your AU ID and get ready to BUMP.

GoldLink instantly became popular with his first mixtape The God Complex, released in 2014. He became a member of the XXL Freshman Class in 2015, a magazine that celebrates the greatest upcoming rappers. He recorded his first few tracks at a studio in D.C. under the name Gold Link James before shedding “the James” in 2013 and becoming what we know and love him to be today, GoldLink. He sold out the 9:30 Club on that tour, performed at Sweetlife, Trillectro, SXSW, Sasquatch, and Afropunk, and is on the lineup for Coachella this year. His music is often praised for the influence played by DC’s native “go-go” sound in his brand of hip-hop. This guy is PROLIFIC and has worked with producers Rick Rubin, Kaytranada, and BADBADNOTGOOD. We are super pumped to have him come perform for AU this Saturday alongside openers Ciscero and DJ Ayes Cold.
